Those wondering if they can bring fireworks when they travel should know that it is not allowed to fly with them in 3 words : Fireworks don’t FLY.
In this post, I will cover everything you need to know about flying with fireworks.
NOTICE: This article is intended for people traveling from or within the United States of America.
In fact, the information I’m presenting here is based on guidelines from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). It’s the agency that has authority over the security of the traveling public in the United States, and its rules apply whether you’re flying from or within the U.S.
What TSA says about traveling with fireworks on a plane?
If you visit the TSA page dedicated to the rules for travelling with fireworks, you will simply need to see this:
This rule is clear, it says that we are not allowed to bring fireworks in either checked baggage or carry-on baggage.
This is understandable because of the potential hazards associated with fireworks.
Again, TSA posted recently on Twitter a reminder stipulating the thing. So don’t try to fly with you fireworks, they will likely be confiscated.
Most fireworks are meant to fly high in the sky, but never via a commercial aircraft. As we near the #4thofJuly, here's a friendly reminder from @AskTSA to leave #fireworks at home. For more information on what you can and cannot take through airport security, DM us! pic.twitter.com/zA2L1WWx9p

FAA also says that fireworks don’t fly and released this important poster :
So, please never try to bring with you fireworks on plane, it’s dangerous and each violation is subject to a civil penalty. In cases involving death, serious illness, or severe injury to any person or substantial destruction of property, a civil penalty may be increased for each violation. Criminal violations may result in fnes and imprisonment of up to 10 years.
